Beyond Athletics NY Travel 7-on-7 Team CTC Elite Showcases 2016 QB Todd LaRocca At NLA Midwest Tournament

Kala Gause

March 19, 2013

First there was Ashton Broyld (Syracuse), then there was Chauncey Scissum (Syracuse), and now, it is very possible the future of the Rush Henrietta QB position may rest on the shoulders of freshman QB Todd LaRocca.  LaRocca showed signs of greatness at times in the NLA Midwest Tournament while competing against upperclassmen, most of which already had BCS scholarship offers.  "I was very proud of this kid, I literally watched him grow up over the last 3 or 4 weeks," says Zane Howard.  As the offensive coordinator for the CTC Elite Travel 7-on-7 Team, Howard says that LaRocca's performance was "Tom Brady-esque".  "We were up all night going over coverages and game-planning for what LaRocca would face, and I think he responded very well in the heat of the battle," explains Howard.

LaRocca stands about 6'3, and 180 pounds, and although he belongs to the class of 2016, he displayed poise, character, an ability to read coverages, and an accurate deep ball.  Just by looking at his frame you wouldn't know that he was a freshman at all.  "I thought he did an outstanding job, I was  very impressed with him," says fellow travel teamate and  Class of 2014 Athlete - Justin Noye (East High School) who was listed as one of the Top 10 Performers in the NLA Midwest Regional 7-on-7 by ESPN Recruiting Nation in Youngstown, Ohio.

Various writers began to lineup and talk to the young QB as it seems as if a future star was born in the region.  Beyond Athletics NY progress, and recruiting.   With his performance, LaRocca has put himself on the radar for years to come.  And during that time he has the ability to improve each passing year.  Remember the name; Todd LaRocca.
